The Photonics Engineering Group (http://grifo.depeca.uah.es/) at the University of Alcalá (UAH, Spain) has a world-recognised expertise in the field of fiber-based sensing, and particularly distributed sensing. In the context of optical fiber sensors, the group has the necessary know-how to design, manufacture and characterize many types of fiber sensors. Within DOMINO, UAH is leading WP1, focused on the design and construction of the distributed vibration sensor and of the distributed pressure sensor. It is also contributing to testing (WP4), data analysis (WP3) and dissemination tasks (WP5).
